Chess Tournament 

Beginner Friendly!
Statz Chess Academy is excited to announce our first chess competition of 2026!  Our January tournament will be held on Saturday, January 31st, at the Compton Park Clubhouse (16101 Compton Drive, Tampa, FL 33647).  This tournament will be 4 rounds, Game-20, and will run from 11:00 to 3:00 (we ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to tournament start for check-in).  Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase on-site.  Individual trophies will be awarded to the top 3 places in each division, with school trophies awarded to the top 3 schools.  All participants who do not earn a trophy will receive a medal.
